MEETING How do I join an online AA meeting on Zoom? Do I need an account?
Short answer: No account needed. Download the free Zoom app (or join from your web browser), get the meeting's ID and passcode, and tap Join.
- On Meeting Board: open a meeting and tap "Show how to join". You'll see the Meeting ID, the passcode if there is one, and a Join Zoom button.
- If Zoom asks for a passcode, type the one shown. Some links have it built in.
- Waiting room: some meetings let people in a minute or two before the start — just wait.
- "The host hasn't started this meeting": it may open in a few minutes. If not, try another meeting starting now.
- Your name: tap Rename and use a first name or an initial.
- Didn't get in? Tap "No" when we ask "Did you get into the meeting?" — it helps keep the list right.
